A few years ago, SCALA Pamiers sold me a second-hand Touareg 6.0 W12. It then turned out that one of the wheels was regularly losing air and ending up flat. Upon dismantling, it appeared that the rim concerned was cracked, although I had been assured that the rims had been "reconditioned". The crack, large and perfectly visible after dismantling, started on the inside edge (axle side) and extended over ten centimeters in the direction of the width of the rim. It had been sealed with glue. This “repair” did not hold. You read correctly. A vehicle weighing almost 3 tonnes, 450 HP and capable of reaching 250 km/h, was sold with a seriously cracked rim, which could disintegrate at any time, which would have caused a very serious accident for its occupants and for other users of the road. road. And this rim had received a little glue for any “repair”. The danger was so high that the company specializing in tires which detected this serious problem made me sign a liability waiver before returning the vehicle to me, and advised me not to exceed 30 km/h to return home. . PS from 10/17. I wrote to this company with all the requested information. No answer.
